I visited Philpotts in Portland St Manchester and was served by Jessica. She offers great customer service, really friendly and helpful. I'm happy to call in for breakfast regularly. Great quality food, and staff.
Went today and ordered 2 sandwiches. The bread rolls were cheap end supermarket bulk buy rolls. Could only add 5 salad items. I was there early but they didn’t have 2 basic ingredients I wanted. The person serving was lovely but very slow. The organisation was ridiculous and I had to point out where things were. I used to love going to Phillpot’s but this experience has put me off. £8.60 for 2 very mediocre sandwiches! Never again!
Brilliant sandwich shops with great seasonal varieties. Hit cold sandwiches, salads, crisps drinks and snacks. Really friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi, toilets in some of their shops, you can eat in or takeaway. We ate at the one in Booth Park, Knutsford. Clean, bright and sorry, not too busy. Well worth a visit.
I always choose Philpots for a higher end lunch when I can but my lunch today was awful. Customers were jumping the queue and staff were oblivious. I bought a simple jacket potato with cheese which was cold, hard and largely inedible. My Latte was stone cold and my granola bar tasted like someone had slipped with the cinnamon. The shop was untidy and there were coffee drips all along the drinks station. Never again for me £8.00 wasted. I know that Covid has resulted in a loss of staff and it was lunchtime but there were enough people, just not working smart.
