Over the years we’ve visited on a number of occasions and had an enjoyable night, but sadly not this time. The restaurant was packed and there seemed to be a couple of very large groups in who possessed no social skills. It was difficult to get near to the food, many of the trays were empty and the food we did get was not of the quality experienced on previous visits. If you’re going to accept so many customers through the door then you’ll need to replenish the food stocks much faster and manage unruly/rude customers. We won’t be back!
Visited Cosmo Manchester on Monday February 19th as we were staying nearby in the premier inn which is only a 2 minute walk away. I would recommend booking a table online prior to visiting. We booked for 6pm and only had to wait approximately 5 minutes for our table. You are allowed 1 hour 30 minutes at your table. Although the restaurant was busy, there was still enough space to move around the food areas and to access the dishes. The table and food areas were clean and staff cleared any plates away. The food was a variety of Curries, Chinese, freshly cooked steak, squid etc to order, roast dinner, salad bar, children’s menu and a dessert selection. The food was delicious and we throughly enjoyed it. Will definitely visit again on our next visit to Manchester.
Now a days you pay for what you get but there should be staff watching the customers? SEEN CUSTOMERS USING THERE HANDS TO GET THERE FOOD ONLY TO PUT IT BACK AND TESTING THE FOOD WITH THE SERVING SPOONS and licking there fingers and touching the servings spoons and tongues for getting your food with everything that’s happened hygiene hygiene
50 minute wait after being told 35 minutes, we’re sat in an area with about 50 other people and the ceiling was leaking so the chairs and floor were soaking, we’re only seated after reminding the woman we were still waiting, upstairs was absolutely packed and no organisation or order in sight, each time we got a new plate I had to get up and ask someone to clear the previous plates from our table, kids were running around almost knocking everyone’s plates over and there was no structure or line just a giant huddle of people , definitely need better trained staff or structure plan for busy Saturday nights, waste of money , after waiting 50 minutes we were only allowed the table for an hour and 20 minutes, with the chaos of the floor we only managed 3 plates each and 1 dessert before having to leave, horrible evening, shame because the food was decent
We were worried to try the restaurant after reading the reviews , but we went at lunch time and it was brilliant! The staff were so lovely , both the waitresses’ and the general Manager. The food variety was large and the quality high. Beautiful restaurant and spotless.
