Jo's Place - Mangum

I am a huge fan of reviews, and I visit Jo's almost every day. I recently moved to Mangum and absolutely love the people and the food at Jo's. The prices are excellent as well!

The service was incredibly slow—an understatement, really. I waited over an hour for a hamburger and never received it. I eventually decided to leave and went to Pizza Hut instead.

When my husband, Joe Van Ausdall, and I got married 20 years ago, our first date was at Jo's Place. It has the best food in Greer County, Oklahoma, located right on the square. Over the years, we've eaten here countless times, and the food and service have consistently been five stars. We used to enjoy the specials, and back then, Jo made her homemade coconut cream pies that were absolutely amazing. My husband would always buy an entire pie to take home. You can't go wrong dining at Jo's. I only have positive things to say about this place—it's truly fantastic!

I was never really a regular, but I lived in Mangum for a while, and that didn’t change my experience. Every time I ate at Jo's, the food was absolutely delicious. The service has always been friendly and welcoming. Although I haven't had a chance to visit in quite some time, I've enjoyed every visit in the past. Whether it was just grabbing a beer with friends and relaxing or getting a meal, I always felt more than welcomed, and I’ve never been disappointed with any dish I’ve tried. If I weren't on such a tight budget right now (raising grandbabies—such is life!), I would probably be heading to Mangum at this very moment for some much-needed comfort food! Much love to you, Jo!
