Italianissimo - Manizales

We ate here 2 times , both for dinner. Most of Vincents ingredients are flown in from Itay via Bogata. As a result the foods very very good. If you want authentic Italian food this is the place to be. Prices are in the fine dining range ,but well worth it.

Visited at night Sunday. Noisy and big. Order taken efficient but after 45 minutes, no body has eaten. I ordered Tagliatelle A Matriciana, they brought a huge dish and the sauce was made with ham instead of bacon.

Went to this restaurant a little while ago and loved the food! The service was great with a cozy atmosphere…if you are looking for a nice place to go with authentic Italian food, Italianissimo is the place to check out! Highly recommend it!

I am an Italian from Ontario, Canada. I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant while I was in Manizales and would like to share this with you. It is worth stating this first; although I am not a professional chef by trade, I am a very experienced chef especially in Italian food and therefore I am extra critical when I am at an Italian restaurant. I was reluctant at first to go to this restaurant thinking that the food would be way below standard of what I can cook or what I am used to in Italian restaurants at home. However, I have to admit that I was shocked...and very pleasantly surprised with the authenticity of the food at Italianissimo. As appetizers, we ordered the calamari and a pizza. Calamari was excellent, perfectly cooked not chewy or greasy. The pizza was amazingly similar to pizza in Salerno and Napoli. As a true Italian and an amateur chef myself, the pasta is what makes it or breaks it for me, and I give these guys 10/10. I tried the penne, and it was perfectly cooked al dente and the light rose sauce was very flavorful and if you ate with your eyes closed you would think you are eating in southern Italy, As for the atmosphere and ambiance, it was very cozy and family oriented, we felt very comfortable. The service was amazing, friendly, personable and very attentive. Towards the end of our meal, we met with one of the owners, who I found out is directly from Italy, from a town not far from Salerno by the Amalfi coast; then it all made sense to us as to why this is so authentic. Amalfi coast food and Naples are world renowned for their pizza and southern style Italian cuisine.In closing, I sincerely would like to thank Italianissimo for such an amazing experience and would totally recommend you to try this restaurant if you happen to be in Manizales.thankyou

Frendly English speaking staff. Located in Milan atmospheric barrio away from El Cable. Delicious crusty pizza. Nice view.
