We went there at noon on a Sunday and got seated in the back corner. All the food was already cooked and on the buffet table. There was a decent variety of food laid out. My favourites were the grilled pork and sausage and the rice was nice too. Its European food. The young girl who served us was helpful and friendly. We will return and try the regular lunch menu next time.
We had heard some good things so we thought we would check it out. The restaurant was busy - the service was good and the ambiance was pleasant but the food was very disappointing. The salad was shredded cabbage with vinegar sprinkled on it and, to be truthful, it kind of grew on you as you ate it but it was pretty boring. The food was heavily salted - even the rice tasted salty. You get a scoop of rice and a scoop of mashed potato both of which were salty but with not other real taste. I had the chicken skewer which was very bland. We went to taste the cabbage rolls, one of their specialties but they too were quite tasteless except for the salt. When we asked the server about all the salt they said that it was the Balkan spice. We do eat relatively salt free at home and most restaurant food tastes salty to us but nothing like this. We had hoped to find a good eastern european restaurant in our area but I think we will keep looking. The cevapcici is quite good. There is better Calamari almost anywhere else.
Restaurant was very quiet. Buffet had a wide variety of good tasting food at a reasonable price, which included schniztel...yum!
Great home cooked food, reasonable price. Had an excellant dinner, daughter said cevapcici were better than mine and Baka and Didos. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Thanks again will be back.
