And we had a salad as an accompaniment (the Ënsalada Caprese and it too was lovely. The service was OK, not fantastic. Meals are inexpensive. Da Vinci 's is just fine for a quick casual meal.
Such an amazing restaurant, been here three times since we got here and we are extremely impressed. The staff here are warm and welcoming
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Marbella. The food is good and the same price for every item on the menu is reasonable. To enjoy the sun outside you need the right timing to go there.
The restaurant is located in the centre of Marbella in an area with pretty high footfall but I think that if not for the prices, it would struggle to turn the tables. There are a couple of paid parking areas nearby which do not fall into the ‘expensive’ category as the ones closer to the Marbella port but if you’re after street parking then forget about it. You’ll have a better chance of finding something to watch on Netflix in under 25 minutes. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating areas with the outdoor area pretty busy considering the chill in the air at this time of year. There was a noticeable lack of small tables 6 people) as the tables were all full of larger groups. When the menus arrived it was clear to see why this place was popular with the larger groups. The dishes averaged around € 5 6 each with a large, pizza sized garlic bread costing a mere € 3.50. Several of these were ordered as starters for our party of 8 and they did not disappoint. Sadly for us, this is where the happiness ended and the experience started to enter into freefall. The staff seemed quite impatient and not really customer focused. Drinks had to be ordered several times before they were brought to the table and the body language and abruptness led us to believe they did not really want to be there. Then again, at this point neither did I. The mains arrived and our table was then covered in an array of different pasta and pizza dishes. One thing evident was the disparency in the portion sizes of the pasta dishes. My friend next to me seemed to have double the amount of pasta on his plate and this didn’t compare to the mountain of spaghetti on our friend’s plate in the corner. While the dishes looked appealing, they were lacking in the flavour department. In fact, it seems like they took the name Da Vinci too literally and aimed for the dishes to be like the Mona Lisa’s expression – bland. For the price you pay though you can't really expect the truffle oils and the aromas of herbs picked only a few hours before the shift but it really reminded me of what I would have loved in my student days cheap food that filled you up and left you with more money to spend on alcohol. Pasta dishes out of the way we were then told that there were no desserts. Not that they had run out but that they didn’t serve desserts. What a downer on an already down night. The prices are too good to the point that it almost lets these guys off for the quality or lack of) of their food. Apart from the garlic bread I don’t know what I would order again. I do get the whole ‘group sharing thing’ as this place is perfect for filling up on the cheap before a night out but with plenty of alternatives in the immediate area I don’t know if I would choose to go here before a night out unless I was forced to. At gun point. TLDR: Order the garlic bread and then leave.
My pregnant wife and I visited for dinner a few nights ago and six hours after having a pepperoni pizza I was very unwell with diarrhea and vomiting lasting four days, one of which I couldn't even get out of bed. The only good thing about our experience was that my pregnant wife didn't get food poisoning as well...
