I've been coming to this restaurant for 8 years now when I'm craving for some Taiwanese, and I don't even live close. They have great tea too. Every trip here just increases my love for Taiwanese food. Vegetarian options: Obviously can't order beef noodle soup without beef in it, but lot's of things can be ordered for vegetarian options. Parking: Shared parking lot with the rest of the plaza.
Small little place inside strip mall, don’t judge book by its cover, food is amazingly authentic taiwan style, dishes are very fresh, we love it where we visited twice for dinner on a three days trip! Drive 30 minutes just to eat at this place, Would highly recommend friends and family to visit!
We ordered bento, fried tofu, and Hakka stir-fried dishes. The food is super authentic, and the taste reminds me of Taiwan! I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try authentic Taiwanese food. They also prepare the food fresh, instead of heating up frozen premade dishes. Love it!
Recommended fried tofu and bentoThe squid soup may be a southern tasteThe kind with nine-story pagoda, squid slices, and sand teaNot the traditional taste I expectedHis black vinegar is not Gongyan black vinegar, and his shacha sauce is not Niutou brand. The bonito soup is not thick enough. The store is cleanAbout 30 seats. If you have to wait for more than 30 minutes on holidays,It is recommended to call and order first!
Aka the Formosan? Don't let the name fool you, this is Taiwanese. I took my (reluctant) mother who DOES NOT do spicy, and we split the dumplings and the eggplant with shredded pork. It was absolutely delicious, rich with garlic, ginger, and a complex background flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on...and my mom tolerated the numbing heat of the szechwan pepper just fine. The waitress was super helpful made me a beautiful iced oolong tea and my mom a hot oolong. Her pot had loose leaf tea and it was absolutely lovely. My Iced tea was very lightly sweetened and strong, just the way I like it. I mourned when my cup was empty. If this isn't familiar cuisine to you, Is definitely worth a try.Oh, and they have vacuum sealed bags of tea for sale in the back to take home at good prices.
