Hutchison's Country Ham - Maysville

He made a special trip with my two guys to get a ham for Thanksgiving dinner. I always heard good things about Hutchinsons. Hey, if it's good enough to escape Marty Brennaman, it's good enough for me. Our journey was made even more special by the owner who opened up and talked about all history of Hutchinsons, stories from his childhood and the building itself. He even took my guys in the back where he actually made the ham and an explanation of all the different devices he used. My boys are still talking about it today. After buying our ham, I told the owner that I didn't think the ham would survive the trip home without me and my boys eating it all. Without hesitation, he went behind the counter and made us some ham sandwiches for our 1 1/2 hour trip home. Needless to say they were great. I hope I started a long-term family tradition. Maysville is so happy to have Hutchinsons.

I have eaten twice there and loved it both times! Food is delicious and for a really good price! I'm glad we found this jewel!
