Home Grain Bakery - MCLAREN FLAT

I recently tried a meal at this restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The vegetable pasty had a great filling and the pastry was also quite good. The amount of tomato sauce was just right and it hit the spot. However, the chocolate brownie was a letdown. It seemed like it was a good recipe but it was incredibly dry and even powdery in texture. It appeared more old and dried out rather than freshly baked. The center of the brownie, once I cut off the dry layers, was moist and had the right consistency. The edges were overly crispy and even the cutting edges were disappointingly dried out. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

In my 59 years, I have eaten a lot of jam doughnuts, and this one had the most jam I've ever seen. It was delicious! The service was friendly and the coffee was good.

The coffee here is delicious. They offer decaf and cream (which you shouldn't knock until you've tried it!) and have friendly service. I didn't eat here, but the display case was full of delicious looking treats.

Perfect coffee, delicious fresh pastries and friendly service. I'll stop here again. The premises are clean and welcoming.

Stopped by tried the home baked pasties and they were awesome! Its on the Main Street and easy to find.
