Cafe Fionna Bistro - Medellín

Excellent food and service, the Fionnas combinations they have are amazing! too bad this is the only place they have.

I've lived here in Medelllin for three years, but only discovered this really wonderful restaurant. Maybe it's because it's in front of a humble food dish at San Fernando Plaza in Poblado. People just ignore that it's in a grocery store in a small shopping mall. They have their own seating area and food seating. It is amazing that this little restaurant is able to do so a great variety of really savory and often unique cuisine... but they do! They are also open for breakfast, served all day for sleepers. They offer a variety of fresh breakfast pastries (good above average quality), sandwiches, pancakes, Egg Wraps, a breakfast Blintz Fionna, eggs as you like them, and more. The rest of their huge menu for lunch and dinner includes a variety of entradas, 10 different salads, sandwiches fries, wraps with delicious fillings, Hamburger Fries, 8 Pasta Dishes and my two favorites (previously) European blintzes and Russian fionnas. Let me say that I enjoyed these two things so much for lunch... that I then ordered them for the home delivery of Rappi Domicillos for dinner at night with my partner who has also become crazy how great this food is! They offer 4 styles of Blintzes (besides breakfast Blintz), but I fell in love with the Blintze de Pollo y Almendras (a thin crepe with many chickens that are sawed with caramelized almonds in a magnificent sauce, and includes a very beautiful salad. Terrible! They offer 9 varieties of their Russian fionnas, and you can order a particularly expensive trio of them (where you choose which 3 species you want). My favorites are Fionna Pollo Oriental (Chinese chicken and paprika in a soy sauce), Fionna Dakota (ham cheese in a base of honey and mustard), Fionna Toscana ( chicken, caramelized onions, cheese mushrooms in a base of cream cheese), Fionna Francesa (mixing of cheese bacon in a base of caramelized onions). And they are all served with 3 dipping sauce cups (choice of caramelized onions, teriyaki sauce, sour cream mustard). I am enchanted with the wonderful kitchen of Cafe Fionna Bistro. My wife and I enjoyed two dishes. You have the apple, the blue cheese salad and the Primavera sandwich. I could even enjoy a tequila with my meal (Jose Cuervo Anejo). The staff was very friendly and efficient.

The Resturant is located at the plaza San Frenando hotel,casual menu, Medetirrenean Bristo, Italian fair, serve Breakfeast daily from 7am to 11am lunch from 11am to 4.30pm dinner thru 10.30pm.Breakfast items Croque Monsiur,tortilla espanola flat like omelete 20 items to choice very economic,1.50 to 3.00 dollars appetizers like: mozzarela sticks, calamari fritti,dip of eggplant Portabella mushrooms, mozzarella and slice tomatos with basil sauce delicious,lunch have variety off salads, sandwiches and soups .the service is great wine and liquors cappuchinos, lates coffee is served ll day long.Cristian Jaramillo, the Owners and Bartenders provide great service and friendly.one the best en Medellin.
