Hachibeh is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Melbourne. The food is delicious and authentic. I went there for Mother's Day dinner yesterday and the staff was friendly and served us quickly. Highly recommend ordering the Gyutan, Karaage, Sashimi, and Nabeyaki Udon - you can't go wrong with these choices. If you're looking for authentic Japanese food in town, this is the place to go. Recommended.
On her first visit to the restaurant, Lizzie was impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. She particularly enjoyed the well-prepared udon with clear yet tasty broth and perfectly cooked al dente noodles. Lizzie also liked the generous portions of katsu don and katsu curry, which were rich and flavorful. However, she was slightly disappointed by the sashimi, as it was not the freshest she had ever eaten.
