Soul Cafe - Melbourne

We stopped by for morning tea and had toasted fruit bread which was amazing. It had big chunks of fruit and was served with butter on the side and a little pot of home made raspberry sauce. Melbourne has a great reputation for coffee and the coffee at Soul Cafe did not disappoint. It was also lovely and hot - just how I like it.

Had the surf n turf eggs benedict - one egg with smoked salmon and the other was with bacon - best of both worlds! Eggs cooked perfectly and nice crispy bacon. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxed cafe style breakfast.

The poach egg with smashed avocado was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, the place clean and the atmosphere fine. They also make good coffee.

Had dinner here one night while in melbourne. Had a lovely steak which was cooked perfectly. Hubby had a pizza which he enjoyed. Great service

I recently stayed at Mercure Welcome for two nights and invited a friend to join me at the Soul for lunch. I used two welcome drink vouchers from the hotel and ordered lunch. We ended up chatting non-stop for almost two hours. Coffee was better than expected. We decided to move to the upper level which is linked to the bar of the hotel. Free coffee to go! There were arm chairs and the place was very quiet. Its a little hide away from the busy cafe. We like it.
