The food was enjoyable with the cheese platter excelling! 20% discount for guests made it a competitively priced meal without the hassle of going out to dine. Room service was also fast and tasty.

I had dinner and breakfast here.Neither experience recommends this resturant as a place to eat food.Dinner, it was like a 1970s meal. Over cooked steak, I asked for a rare one and got a dry tough piece of meat that had been over cooked. The greens were oily. The mash potatoes lumpy. The roast potatoes were soggy. I spent more on my dinner here Than what I do at my favourite restaurant in Brisbane but the culinary experience was chalk and cheese.Due to the group meal and my alcohol consumed I didn't complain.Breakfast was appalling. The hot food was cold. Some of the Bain Marie's were empty and weren't filled at all. The bacon, oh dearie me, it should be a criminal offence to do that to a poor rasher. I can't see how the price charged for it can be justified. I did complain and was refunded the cost.

We dined here the night we returned from our holiday in Europe. It was a totally satisfying and enjoyable experience. This meal topped anything I had eaten in Italy, France and Spain and it proved to me that you don't need to travel overseas to enjoy good food. Restaurants like this do Australia proud. I chose the Beef Cheeks. My husband had the fish. The wine list is good and the waiters Alam and Jessica could not have done more for us. Don't be deceived by the name, this is a fine dining restaurant. Compliments to the chefs: Mike and Matt.

Not often do we eat where we sleep....But it was easier to meet some friends here where we were staying for dinner.Well haven't we been missing out.Hidden in the basement of the hotel is their restaurant. We have now eaten in both nights to try the menu as the first night we couldn't decide.Both meals we were not disappointed and to be honest suprised by the quality of dishes...Do recommend this if staying at the Rendezvous in Melbourne...Tough call as Melbourne is the home of restaurants and food...Really enjoyed being in and easy.

Delicious and well presented food and excellent service made this a wonderful experience. Staying at the hotel, we were too tired to venture out for dinner and opted for the in house cafe. The food was exceptionally good and our host Alam was warm and friendly and very attentive to our needs. Highly recommended.
