There’s a reason this is our local favourite. Even if they weren’t local. Crab pasta (I always order this , rabbit tagliatelle (amazing , Jerusalem artichoke salad and the BEST bag of chips with bags of flavour.
Very impressive Italian bistro with a Venetian theme. I had the risotto with moreton bay bugs and squid ink wafer. There’s only a couple of bits of bug but the dish itself is extremely good. The flavours and the textures are great. My companions also enjoyed their dishes. Service was not bad. It’s a good place.
4.5/5Started with 2 types of arancini which were both absolutely beautiful. Crunchy outside and soft inside. Next was the burrata and calamari which were both nice and fresh but lacked a bit of punch. The pasta was the highlight, gnocchi ragu world class and the penne special was so tasty! Top notch pasta.Really nice setting and great service, well worth a visit.
Stumbled upon this place accidentally a while back and finally managed to find some time to come back again.<br/ <br/ We had booked a couple of days ahead and it was nice to not only receive a call to confirm our booking the day before but also they asked where we 'd like to sit. We were given the option of by the bar to watch the action in the kitchen or the undercover courtyard.<br/ <br/ I had opted for the courtyard, which was very cosy. <br/ <br/ On the evening we had:<br/ <br/ Seafood Soup Special The waiter was kind enough to offer to split the soup into two for us to share. It had a mixture of seafood from prawns, calamari, salmon and grains. The broth was very flavourful and buttery and the grains added a nice crunch<br/ <br/ Beef Crudo Great flavours, one of the best takes on a beef tartare I 've had in a while and loved the addition of the pomegranate which gave it a nice little pop to every bite<br/ <br/ Risotto of Cauliflower a buttery and lovely risotto. We also opted for the clams and x.o. sauce which added a nice contrast of spice<br/ <br/ Moreton bay bugs, fish, baby octopus mussels in a lobster stock mildly tangy with assorted seafood. There was also grains added to provide texture.<br/ <br/ Tiramisu 'old world meets new world ' two desserts in one as it was a classic tiramisu on one side and their twist on the other. Absolutely loved their version with the espresso ice cream, honey comb and milk crumb.<br/ <br/ Overall couldn 't fault anything, staff was great. Will definitely be back!
