The first time, the steak was too salty due to too much marinade, and the second time it was significantly overcooked. Despite these issues, I plan to return as I always support local businesses. The desserts at this restaurant are fantastic!
We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant under new management for my son's birthday. The renovated place looked great with fresh paint and floors. The owners were attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying their food. While my son's filet was raw instead of medium rare, they quickly fixed the steak and fries. He also mentioned that his shrimp was rubbery. My husband's porterhouse steak and my strip steak (which I took half of home) were cooked perfectly medium rare. The baked potatoes were hot and fluffy, and the salads were delicious with house made dressing. Overall, the new management is doing a great job at keeping the tradition alive for this Bartlett institution. I even preferred their crouton basket over the previous menu item.
The croutons are amazing! This is my first time here and they really take care to ensure that everything in your meal is top-notch. Everything is on point and the best steakhouse in the Bartlett area. I would give it a 10 out of 10!
1st time back since the reopening. Good just as good as ever. Fresh look on the inside and a well trained wait staff. Very pleasurable experience. You do have to make a reservation though unless your really lucky and catch a vacancy. Still has the signature steak sauce and a fresh line of deserts. I?ll be back here.
Everyone loves the croutons, of course. They?re slightly addictive. My favorite of the less obvious notables is their fried okra. Never greasy, always a perfect golden brown. Some folks don?t like the Worcestershirey marinade, but hey, if you don?t like it, ask them to leave it off or serve on the side?I think it?s great, equally good on steak or chicken. I prefer their new system of accepting reservations only. It means little or no wait, which was always a problem beforethe new owners took over. Bartlett is fortunate to have this little jewel of a restaurant. Food is consistently good. I?m grateful that the new owners saved it and made it even better!
