Gregoria Matorras Steak House - Mendoza

Unbelievable short rib. Unbelievable prices. Great wine, obviously in Mendoza and nice staff. 100% recommended

We visited here on recommendation. It wasn't disappointed. You need to translate an understanding of Spanish or at least google to help you with the menu. As with traditional steakhouses, you usually order your steak and then pages. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and our whole group (10 people) were all satisfied with their meals. The price is amazing for the quality of meal. definitely worth a visit!!!

It is hard to beat a steak dinner with a bottle of water, glass of malbec, salad and bread for under $15. Gregor Matorras also has some interesting characters from an artist who is proudly displayed in the entire Buenos Aires neighborhood. I went twice in my 3 days in Mendoza. My first trip was a Vacio or a flank steak that was surprisingly seasoned. My second visit was a bit less unforgettable, but still very good. You take credit cards, but don't let them tap. My first visit, I was happy to have a gentleman who spoke English at the restaurant and helped me through the menu and the elections, my second visit was somewhat more authentic and both had a typical Argentinian service that can be a little slow for American standards. This was by far one of my most unforgettable meals from Argentina, and hard to beat considering the price was good under $15 both times with the tip. Both times I sat on the terrace and during lunch the flies were a little, but finally removed. If you're in Mendoza and enjoy Steak, I'd check this place!

This place serves big steaks for very cheap. The semi-formats are more than enough for one.

I rarely eat at the same restaurant on vacation twice, but I did for this restaurant. My hostal recommended it the first night and I ordered the Bife de Chorizo. After having two steaks at other restaurants and paying more, I came back for the same plate. Most Americans will love the Bife de Chorizo plate. And it is enough for many couples. At the time of this writing, it costs $15 USD. Buena Suerte!
