There appears to be mold or something in the teas. All 5 drinks had this black stuff at the bottom. Pretty gross! They didn't really seem too surprised.
Come for the pizza, stay for the caprese. This is by far some of the best pizza I've had anyplace in the US. I've traveled coast to coast and this pizza can go up against anything around. All the staff is super friendly and food comes out quick. I only wish they had one in NV, but than I would be 1000lbs.
I remember my first visit to Nello?s as a 5th degree (too many years today). It was amazing at the time, and in the three decades it has remained so. Now my children feel the same. There are only so many places that you experience as a child who still flourish and give you the opportunity to experience with your children. Nello?s is a local treasure. Local prejudices aside, I think it's the best deep court around. Say what you're talking about recent Chicago imports, but that's still the best in the Valley. BTW the house dressed on the salad is ridiculous. Do you think Dorothy Lynch on steroids? Service is always friendly and casual.
We ordered Polpette Formaggio as an appetizer and world famous classic European pizza and entree. Polpette Formaggio is oven baked meatball with house made pizza sauce and bread crumbs, and it is Nello's original! Classic European is a deep dish pizza and olive oil with garlic ricotta, garden fresh tomatoes and sausage. It is a 1996 dough recipe mouthwater! Our waitress Jenna was so patient and professional, we could no longer thank her for answering our questions in detail and give us recommendations.
This is the best thin crust Chicago style pizza I ever had! Her thin crust, which had lower cornea, and I ask for pepperoni, bacon, onions and garlic. When they broke out my pizza, it was a nice thing. They put thick slices of bacon that was crispy, the cheese stretches when I took a bite, and the tomato sauce tasted fresh because they do not use tomato paste. All tastes perfectly mixed together, and this is the only place where I go for pizza!
