Maurice French Pastries - Metairie

One of the worst cakes I've ever had. I ordered a wedding cake taste with strawberry filling. The soil filling was terrible. There was so much Icing on the cake that once it got to eat in the restaurant, it fell apart, which is because cakes are to be transported. Especially because they deliver wedding cakes. Communication with bakery is terrible, especially because their email does not work on their website. When you call who answers the phone, has a completely different plan and idea how things in the bakery of the last person you spoke to. This is a shame because this place is known and once had a very good reputation. I've been thinking about getting my wedding cake from here, but after this 100% not!!

Ordered a Chantilly cake for my husband's birthday and it was of course amazing. I wanted to pick it up and get a swan while I was there. Large pastries and great service

Love, love, love the French cake. Always stop here every trip to New Orleans. Pastries are great!

Loved that they have different sized King Cakes for purchase. I needed a small one for Mardi Gras tomorrow!

Pastries purchased Friday Feb 10th 2023 after lunch. My husband stopped in on his way home from work early afternoon. He bought an assortment because variety and amount very low. He bought a French Kingcake some creme puffs and fruit tarts apple tart.Everything was dated, not fresh at alland hard as a brick. The cream filled pasteries were not creamy at all the cream was stiff and cracked unsafe to eat . We ended up throwing everything out because we feared food poisoning from the spoiled cream deserts. There was mold on the cream of one fruit tart. It was a costly ruined desert which we could not serve to guest. Very poor quality, stale, and be ashamed Maurice's we were so disappointed. The sad thing was none of what we purchased was edible. DJ Darby
