Chili's - Michigan City

The portions on the menu are indeed as generous as they look! However, the meal preparation didn't meet my expectations. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger well done, but it arrived slightly pink. While it may have skimped on BBQ sauce, it certainly compensated with grease. Thankfully, the evening was uplifted by the tasty appetizers and the friendly service.

My wife and I visited for Valentine's Day, and we were very pleased with our experience. The service was fantastic, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the two-for-$25 meal, starting with salads followed by our entrees: marinated chicken and steak. We ended our meal with a slice of cheesecake, which was wonderfully made and delicious. I would definitely recommend Chili's in Michigan City, as the prices were reasonable as well.

We had a small wait, but the hostess was thoughtful and offered my grandson a tablet to keep him entertained, which I really appreciated. Our server was in training, but with the help of her trainer and the manager, we were well taken care of. The food was good, and our drinks were consistently refilled.

Terrible... That's all I can say. The waitress was friendly to the other customers but not to us. The food was disappointing. My husband ordered a bowl of chili that I could smell was bad from across the table. His cheeseburger was undercooked, and my Cajun chicken looked like it had been taken from leftover plates. We waited a long time for our bill and eventually had to go to the bar to pay (where she was also the bartender). She didn’t give us the correct change, and when my husband pointed it out, she got an attitude. I haven't been back in eight years, and after tonight, I won't be returning.

The two waitresses who served us only came to the table to drop off the food; we had to flag down another waitress just to get a drink. Out of the five meals we ordered, three were acceptable, but two needed to be returned, and there was no offer to remake them. After spending $90 and leaving a 20% tip that I felt was undeserved but felt obliged to give, we left still hungry and ended up making a frozen pizza at home. I will not be returning to this location.
