Made a mistake by not complaining at the time. First up good coffee. However, sausage bap an sausage baguette awful. Worse was the supposed side of hash browns. Half cold lidl offering. For the money I can only say at least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask. Never again, there are much better places in the area
Passing through Cuckfield we decided to pop in for lunch. As we arrived a staff member was taking orders from someone sitting outside so we found an empty seat and sat down. Another staff member came out and took another order from a customer, acknowledged us, and then went back in. 10 minutes later and a couple of walk in customers and still no menu or a courtesy ‘You have to order inside’ from any of them. Decided we obviously wasn’t welcome and left. If you don’t do table service, at least let your customers know, maybe while you are doing table service and special orders for other customers?
Lorraine and her team have been brilliant throughout lockdown and we can always guarantee a good cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The sandwiches are excellent and generously filled. When open again fully we will be stopping by for a cooked breakfast, which I have had and I definitely recommend it.
Lovely little spot in the heart of Cuckfield! I ordered the Bacon Brie and Cranberry Panini, was truly one of the best I’ve ever had ! Also very friendly and helpful staff !!
