Contribuisci feedbackI stayed at this hotel for one night after a concert at the Empire and it was the perfect choice. The room was clean, spacious, and reasonably priced, with no noise disturbances. We had a meal at the restaurant before the show and it was satisfying and delicious. Getting to Middlesbrough by taxi was easy. I would definitely stay at a Green King hotel again and this would be my first choice if I attend another concert at the Empire in the future. The only issue was that the pastries at the continental breakfast were hard and clearly not fresh. Other than that, it was a great budget-friendly place to stay.
My wife and I had our first date at the Highfield in 1988. We had our wedding reception there in 1990 went there regularly until we had children. Around 10 years ago we decided to pop in. We didn't stay long, didn't have a drink as it turned into just another drinking hole full of school children, aggressive atmosphere people who couldn't walk without falling over. Mate of mine lives near in lt it's his local, told me it had changed so we went back on Saturday afternoon on the way to Albert park rock the north east it was great, quick service, full of families having a good time, great atmosphere. Well done to the landlords.
The staff very friendly and helpful. The food medium good. I don't like frozen chips. The food price is not bad. Very nice place but need a bit better maintenance.
We have stayed at this restaurant twice now, and overall, we found it to be an okay experience. The staff were okay, but seemed busy so they didn't have much time to go beyond what was required. The food was mediocre for me. We had breakfast once in the bar area and once in the hotel area. Unfortunately, both breakfasts were disappointing, especially the eggs and sausages. The sausages were overcooked and the scrambled eggs were inedible, making me feel quite queasy. The quality of sleep was not great, although the room was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a lot of door slamming and the walls seemed thin, allowing us to hear conversations from the next room. I also have to mention that despite a no smoking policy, someone in room 15 was clearly smoking cannabis as the corridor smelled strongly of it. I hate to leave negative feedback, but unfortunately, our experience was not that great.
The burgers at this restaurant are absolutely delicious, and on Fridays you can get a buy one, get one free deal! That means you can enjoy two burgers for the price of one. Both my mom and I loved sinking our teeth into these juicy burgers - it's definitely worth a visit! Plus, you can also get two bottles for £6.
