I remember Cagney's as a great culinary experience. Return to this holiday season we chose Cagney 's for our party of 15. The reservation would usually be a set menu, but we came on Thursday at 5:00, so... they allowed us to order from the menu. The decor and decor was modern and beautiful, My memory of red upholstery and oak was replaced by large private stands and art decor incredibly mixed with blacks and whites with blue accents. As a large group we came to welcome and had a very nice facility in a closed area of stands that gave us a very family feeling. Open the wine and beverage menu with a great and varied selection from the board and price ranges. Take a moment to see about their bar and wine storage display before you go. Our server was an experienced professional who took his time with all orders and suggestions. I will not try to go over all of us ate, but as a starter I shared the Cagneys Antipasto for 2 the selection of cheese-grown meat served beside olives, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, house-preize and crostini. It can easily 4 and the aromas delicious, especially the roasted red peppers! The Caesar Salad is truly authentic and all portions are interchangeable. The main thing came perfect. Some highlights are the Greek style Chicken Souvlaki with large pieces of delicate marinated chicken in fine herbs, spiced char-grilled. Served with a selection of Greek or caesar salad, rice and tzatziki sauce. Peppercorn New York Steak Certified Angus Beef 12oz Striploin served with whisky peppermint sauce was great as all steaks served. Unbelievable quality of cuts especially the Filet Mignon Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin in apple wood smoked bacon. Broken to melt in the mouth. Available in 8 or 12 ounces. A wide selection of pages for all meals include fries, rice pilaf, onion rings, mashed potato, asparagus, grilled vegetables, soaped mushrooms, spinach cream and loaded baked potatoes... heads that the portions are large enough to share! Our dinner lasted almost 3 hours and was a real family celebration. So great to share great food in a great atmosphere with the family. Thank you
We chose this restaurant to celebrate two birthdays. Very nice restaurant, the food was good, but too expensive. I ordered a 12 oz New York steak for $44 and the waiter asked me to choose two pages BUT not say the pages were... $9 each extra! Our waiter Milan was not friendly, we felt that we made him uncomfortable, he never smiled and did not even ask how our meal was. After dinner he didn't even offer dessert, tea or coffee. The reception had asked if we would celebrate something and we told them two birthdays. They would think they would send a dessert for birthdays (The Keg does a good job of this, but nope nada... instead of presenting with our bills, we found Milan added 18% congratulations on our bill, but not us. We've almost paid bliss again if not for the sharp eye of our friend. I can understand a restaurant that congratulations for big parties, but we were 9 adults (not a big party in my opinion! . I am very disappointed by the overall poor service and experience and expect more for the price of food and drinks calculated!
Nice place, very clean and amazing ambience, but this covers the service. Had to wait long to serve drinks. The waiter did not introduce himself, did not welcome us, did not share the menu, no specials, nothing. We felt like a burden. He assumed we wanted to drink water, and we wanted to be fizzy water (so should be prepared with that then). The order didn't help. The sign that no one was there at 7:00 should have been a red flag. I asked about medium well and it was way to red... Food is overpriced for terrible service, will not be back at all.
Visited on June 19, 2022 for a Father 's Day dinner with family. Firstly, the positives ... tastefully decorated atmosphere ... appropriate ambient background music ... accommodating service from 'Monica '. Now for the challenges ... allow me to write Shrink-flation is alive and well at Cagney 's...... we ordered a $30 shrimp cocktail appetizer, I nearly fell out of our booth when it arrived, a measly 3 shrimp hung over the rim of a cocktail glass beautifully garnished with an 8 piece of romaine lettuce ... that 's right, 3 shrimp for $30. We next opted for a $200 sharing platter (ordered medium rare) which included a bone-in rib steak, a filet mignon, a full rack of lamb (which, by all accounts, is 8 pieces), accompanied by vegetables potato. What arrived was a thin rib steak, a well-done filet mignon, a half rack of lamb (4 pieces), 5 asparagus stalks, 2 pieces of red pepper and perhaps shockingly, a reasonable pile of mashed potato. While the half rack of lamb rib steak were no award winners, they were both edible, the restaurant manager (Shagan) replaced the initial well-done filet mignon (see included picture) with a blue-rare filet mignon (see same picture) ... kitchen staff that night clearly had no clue how to prepare a medium-rare steak. Shagan did her best to smooth over the experience by discounting our bill and picking up some dessert and coffee, but, as you 've concluded by now, the damage was already done.
