Fisherman's Place Fish & Chips

Our family of 7 visited here to celebrate. Most of us ordered the restaurant special fish, chips, coleslaw and a drink. Everyone was satisfied with both portion sizes and taste! The restaurant is not very large but was quite busy, but this was on a Friday night. We were happy and definitely would go back.

A storm knocked the power out in our area for several hours. Fisherman’s Plaice was a bit further than we usually go but the reviews were good places closer to us were without power. We ordered by phone and headed over. We were in the place for about two minutes when we realized that, during a pandemic, the staff preparing the food were not wearing masks or face shields. We walked out and found another place.

I have used take out here twice this month and been very happy with my orders. The freshly prepared halibut was absolutely superb each time {loved the batter as well}, the accompanying fries and cold slaw being somewhat less memorable. There always seems to be customers eating in and at the takeaway bench. I plan to make this a regular port of call.

Halibut and Chips is amazing. Service is always pleasant and warm. Cozy small restaurant which also is well know for take out. I have been enjoying this location for 17 years now. I have also called in while on the highway and placed a takeout order which was ready every time. I continue to go here and bring friends. Highly recommended.
