Viv's Catering &take Out - Mississauga

Thank you, Viv, for creating stunning mixed platters for our special guests! The aromas of their delicious appetizers were irresistible (we had to hide a plate while taking photos because they were eaten so quickly), and Viv's thoughtful presentation showed an incredible attention to detail. I would highly recommend Viv's catering for any future events, and we will definitely be returning customers.

We visited a Jamaican restaurant across the street and decided to give it a try after reading reviews. We were extremely happy with our meal. We ordered the Jerk Chicken and Oxtail dishes, which were made with fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor, and served in generous portions.

This is not authentic Jamaican cuisine. There were too many issues to mention. I ordered extra-large oxtail beans from Uber Eats and received medium, at best large oxtail. There wasn't even one piece of lima bean present. The smell was unpleasant, and the food seemed to be on the verge of spoiling. The plantain was not sweet or soft; it was old and tough. The fried dumpling didn't taste fresh; it seemed reheated and around 5-7 days old. The fried dumpling was poorly wrapped in tin foil. There was an excessive amount of scotch pepper in the oxtail. Overall, the food was old or close to stale. The seller should not be allowed to sell this. I requested a refund from Uber Eats. The positive reviews on Google must be from friends and family. The food was terrible.

This is the best Jamaican Restaurant in GTA by a mile in terms of quality, authenticity and price. I have been coming here for more than 15 years both for take-out and catering for my office parties or my end of year celebration for my running group and the feedback is always same; this is the best Jerk Chicken, the best Oxtail, the best fish or even the best rice and peas. I have also brought people here from Jamaica and they all agreed that this is very good authentic Jamaican food, especially the curried goat. Now that I have gone vegan, you have to try the curried chickpeas (Channa). The right mix of spices and the best curry that that make the curried goat a fan favourite. However, you don't need to believe me, just go and try for yourself. You wont be disappointed. Put all this food together with the friendliness of the staff as well as the very clean sitting area and the only thing missing is the Caribbean sea out front.

This place has a delicious and yummy jerk chicken. I went today for my first time and I couldn?t decide whether I wanted the jerk chicken or ox tail. The jerk chicken was delicious! Next time I would like the ox tail. For the price that you pay for, they give a pretty handsome portion. Definitely will go here again. Edit I finally got the oxtail. It was DEEEELICIOUS!!!
