I will definitely be coming back often because the food is out of this world! The breads, dressings, and meats were tender and not too greasy. Just a fantastic restaurant overall. Dig in at Zoola!
NOT CAFE ZYDECO! Interesting variations of Cajun cuisine and many choices that are not Cajun. Was told by staff that the Gumbolaya (mixture of gumbo and jambalaya) was very popular, so I gave it a try. For a few moments I thought I had received teriyaki turkey over white rice then the spices kicked in! Not bad, but not great. Served with French bread and butter on the side, instead of the traditional garlic bread. I also tried the smoked crawfish and pork PO boy. There are also shrimp and pork, alligator and pork, etc which are mixtures in a single sausage. Served with peppers on a PO boy bun and French fries. Setting is n a bar. Seating is along both sides of an old bar, so everyone sits together. Very social setting.
If it's a Friday you will definitely find me here. The clam chowder is amazing as well as the bread (I like to get approximately half a loaf to accompany my soup because it's that good). It's handy that it's attached to Charlie B's cause the beer and the atmosphere are awesome as well.
I love Dinosaur Café in Missoula for their amazing Creole food. The ettoufee is outstanding and authentic, and my husband enjoys the poboys and the Saturday special of Walleye and chips. The menu is extensive and everything looks delicious. The staff is friendly and the ****** Mary's are excellent. Don't be fooled by the dive bar exterior, this is a great place to eat!
The best bar food in the city! There are great options for vegetarians and the Cajun food is excellent. The service may be slow when it's busy because there are only two guys working in the kitchen. However, it's definitely worth the wait!
