King Star - Monmouth Beach

Sucks! Food isn’t good and didn’t deliver half my order. When I called to tell them she hung up in my face.

King star is a local Monmouth beach Chinese food takeout....I am in Seabright in the border of Monmouth Beach, I find this to be the most convenient Chinese food haunt to order from. I have been trying different dishes from them to figure out what they make well. Pros: Their Dim Sum are awesome, reminds of me of a local takeout in Staten Island I used to frequent called Emperors Cuisine. Large dim sum with seasoned ground pork stuffed with a shrimp and a awesome sauce on top....best dish they make Their combination platters are tremendous, at $10 a clip they give you a healthy portion. Egg Foo young, boneless fried chicken with vegetables have been very good. The fried rice and soup well up to par if not putting for birdie. Cons: The prices on their in store menu do not match what I am charged, that aggravated me...update the damn menu Delivery fee for Chinese....seriously? No I am not ordering on an app, calling the restaurant directly. While some dishes hit, some miss badly....Szechuan beef....horrible miss...no spice they might as well call it beef in garlic sauce. Egg rolls aren't great, small and loaded with what seems like is cabbage only. If you tell me 30 minutes for pickup, please don't make me wait 45 minutes. Overall it's a solid option if you are in the area and craving takeout. Delivery takes an hour. Pickup is available and there is plenty of parking.

Go to for delicious asian cuisine. The head chef even created a special dish for my father when he was in town and my 80 year old father ate every bite. He said it was the best prep of his favorite dish and still talks about coming back for a visit just to get it again.

Their food is good and safe to eat. We always get the pork fried rice, chicken and broccoli, and egg rolls. It’s family run and they’re really nice. Closed on Mondays though (I think). It’s close and convenient if you’re in the mb area.
