Central - Montgomery

I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I had the roasted half chicken, along with the house fries as a side. The chicken itself was dry and overcooked. The bed of rice it was served on was cold when it was dished to me. The side of fries was decent, however they were nowhere near worth paying $9 for. The cost of the food at Central is overpriced for mediocre food and I would not recommend. Service: Dine in

I was visiting from Pensacola and did a quick Google search for restaurants nearby and came across this highly rated restaurant. I sat at the bar and ordered drinks, dinner, and dessert. The braised short ribs and grits were very tasty; however, the small portion size left me hungry (the amount of short ribs was fair but maybe add more grits . I was glad that the waitress talked me into ordering a side of broccolini, which also tasted great, but I ended up ordering a side of fries to fill myself up. The fries were amazing. At $40+ I would have preferred to be satisfied with the short ribs and grits alone. I ordered two drinks neither were amazing. I ended dinner with a chocolate dessert (I don’t remember what it was called also pretty good. The service was awesome I don’t remember my server’s name (Alison? but she was awesome. All in all, have I had better meals for over $100? Absolutely. But this was a good experience. The food was good, I just wish the entree was a larger size. The service was also good and food came out quickly!
