Coco Rico - Montréal

I've been picking up the chicken sandwich at coconut rico for 10 years. It was very good before. on the other hand, the last four visits, increasingly disappointing. The food is good, but insufficient meat in the sandwich (roasted pork and/or chicken) you eat a lot of bread. I was just taking the sandwich and I had enough, today it's no longer the case. to be shaved, it is necessary to complete with potatoes, salad, natas. It's more sale of course. Also, lack of worry about taking orders. Several times, we ordered one thing and it wasn’t exactly what we had. For us, this time, they've been wrong about the sauce. I had asked for sweet for me and stingy for my chum and everyone had exactly the reverse. It's not the first time. Other times, instead of chest, it was the thigh that we were given, despite having previously specified. I live a long way, so I always take it to take it. Usually, they put the salad in a small bowl that allows not to have salad anywhere in the pan and not to imitate the sandwich. Now, they don’t do it anymore, a pity, because it was practical. You have to ask them every time. but yesterday, even if expressly requested, the waitress did not want to know even after explaining the reasoning. So much for your wet sandwich...it's not their problem.At the end, I told him that we were customers and with such service it is possible that we will not come back. I replied that it was my choice. I will not renew my experience. It's too much for a wet sandwich.

A friend had recommended Schwartz's for a lunchtime sandwich but when we saw the queue we decided against it. By chance we stumbled across this place, two doors away and decided to eat here instead. The staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming and the food was delicious. Great value for money - would definitely recommend it!

I am ashamed to say, we were waiting for Schwartz's. We were right outside Coco Rico's, in line, and the chicken looked and smelled so good. We decided to go into Coco Rico instead. So glad we did! Absolutely delicious food. We had quarter chicken dinner with dessert. About $24 for 2 of us. Came with chicken, potatoes, choice of salad, can of pop, and Portuguese pastry.

Stepping into the Coco Rico restaurant you become hypnotized by the smell of the chicken and other delicious things being cooked there on the spot. I had the half a chicken sandwich and my friend had the Pork sandwich both with the sumptuous potatoes with their secret sauce and the requisite creamy cole slaw. Nice friendly people in a lunch counter sit down atmosphere. Fantastic prices and fast take-out and caring service.
