For my main course I had served the beef Stroganoff in a closed dish. For Dessert, the Napoleon cake. Like a Mille Feuille without the hard tip. All courses were good too good.
While visiting Montreal, we decided to have a Russian dinner before New Year's. The menu was extensive and the staff was friendly, speaking English, Russian, and even French. Our party of 5 tried a variety of appetizers and hot dishes, all of which we enjoyed. The Beef Stroganoff and Olivie Salat were particularly amazing, along with the Bonis, vareniki, and more. We also saved room for dessert and tea, but unfortunately they were too busy to serve us Turkish coffee. Overall, if you're looking for authentic Russian food, this restaurant is worth a visit and you won't be disappointed.
Very recommended! Very courteous service. The food is excellent. The ambience is very comfortable and the management makes you very comfortable. This is our first visit to a European/Russian restaurant in Montreal, and it was an appreciative experience. Five stars safe!
For a fantastic experience of Russian cuisine and entertainment, Rasputin is the place to go! This cozy restaurant offers authentic Russian dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting on Friday or Saturday nights when there is live music playing. After enjoying a delicious meal, you can dance and mingle with other guests. The service is top-notch, and the owners make you feel right at home, as if you're celebrating with friends.
Been wanting to try this place for a while now so I did today. I thought it looked really clean and nice inside. Simple and elegant decor. While waiting for the food they gave me 2 halves of a slice of bread and butter. There...were also some croutons on the table that I nibbled on. I had the beef stroganoff. It comes with rice or potatoes and a salad (all on one plate). Couldn't decide whether to have it with rice or potatoes but the staff was kind enough to offer me 50/50. There were 3 potatoes and what seemed liked a tablespoon of rice. The stroganoff came in a little pot that was a good serving and kept the food warm. It was delicious.
