The best hot and sour soup can be found at this restaurant. It is my favorite in the city. I love Talay Thai's version so much that I always order a large bowl of it. I have also tasted other dishes on the menu, and they are all very good as well. I would definitely recommend this place.
Delicious Thai food. I have visited Talay Thai several times, and as a Thai person, I hope my review is helpful to others. I have tried many dishes and I believe their curries and stir-fried dishes are excellent, very flavorful. However, I was disappointed by their Pad Thai dish (I believe Mak Mak restaurant does it better). Regardless, if you are craving Thai food in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood, Talay Thai is one of your best options. Note: Apart from the waiters, all staff are Thai, ensuring that the taste is as authentic as eating in Thailand.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. I decided to visit on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Though small in size, the restaurant offers very delicious dishes.
This is a busy neighborhood Thai resto. It's popularity is primarily based on it's location across from a hospital and a populated residential/commercial area. The location is on the second floor, so mobility challenged customers would have a difficult access. We were two for lunch and we both ordered the lunch special of chicken in coconut/peanut sauce which came with a tiny egg roll, rice and a green mango salad. The food was fine but a touch over priced at $13 with tax and tip, a $17 total. The service was fine, but the noise from surrounding lunch crowd, was deafening. Not a place I would recommend for a relaxing lunch. I was also put off by the boxes, dirty dishes, and disarray to the right of the exiting door. One has to wonder about the parts one couldn't see!
