The Mash Tun - Moray

I brought my family and friends to lunch without a reservation and luckily we were able to get a table. The service was very good and the food was excellent. They had a great variety of whiskeys to choose from. I will definitely be returning.

This charming pub offers delicious food. We visited between Christmas and New Year's and I suggest making a reservation to secure a table. The food was excellent, surpassing typical pub fare. They offer a small children's menu which is sufficient. The portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have a wide selection of whisky options. I would definitely recommend this place.

I used to love this pub, where locals and tourists would come together for a drink or a meal. However, my last two experiences have been horrible, and I will not be coming back. The first time I returned, the music was too loud and outdated, ruining the peaceful atmosphere of Aberlour. Last night, I stopped by for a drink as advertised on Facebook, only to be told the bar was fully booked and I couldn't get a beer, even though there were plenty of empty tables and space at the bar. I have never been to a bar where I couldn't get a drink, even in remote places around the world. The service was poor and unapologetic, with young staff who seemed clueless. I suggest avoiding this place if you want a genuine local experience. Until the management changes, I will not be returning to this unpleasant establishment, despite my past loyalty.

What a delightful abode situated in the quaint and peaceful town of arbelour! Brilliant service, friendly and attentive, smiles all round, never a time where anything was too much, the kind of service you really want on holiday! The selection of whisky was incredible and so much knowledge and good recommendations behind them! There cigar humidor and outdoor smoking lounge was delightful! Brilliantly priced cigars once again brilliant service. To Frankie/freddie all the team, thank you for a wonderful experience, great food great place great time was had! THOROUGHLY ENJOYED

Granted it was some time since this place was recommended to us so I guess things have changed. Firstly, it was very cold so not at all comfortable. We both had the Lossie haddock and have to say the batter was terrible. It was so hard and brittle. I thought £44.00 for one course each, one soft drink and one medium glass of wine was pretty steep for the quality we received. I would not return
