Kapela - Mount Gambier

We opted for the fish dishes during our visit, but have also tried other items on the menu. This place is not your average fish shop - it's a unique experience that is definitely worth checking out.

The food was decent, but not outstanding. The atmosphere was not very comfortable for dining. The staff was friendly. They did not provide tap water and did not have tomato sauce available.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of burgers at affordable prices. Both of us who ordered burgers were very satisfied with our choices. There are also a couple of vegan options available, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, they were out of fish so my husband decided to go to the nearby fish and chip shop instead. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for takeout options.

Seven friends and I, on a road trip, luckily happened to park next to this venue at lunchtime and it was the easy option. I, and many of my companions, were enormously delighted with the food experience we enjoyed. We chose a variety of options from the dine-in menu and for many different meals it was the best burger we had had in a LONG time.

On a visit to Mount Gambier selected this for our Friday fish and chips after reading reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. We had the flake which was excellent and the chips plentiful and well cooked. In fact like it so much made a return visit. Also very well priced.
