Very rude women working there with the grey hair streak! The salad was really sweet and tasted like it came from a salad kit. The coffee cake was DRY! And they were super rude about dogs! I would highly recommend going across the street to vintage coffee, old post house in, or the brown fox instead! The rude service was awfulFood: 1/5
Emailed and called several times to try and coordinate a baby shower 2 months in advance (March) so that I could prep the invitations for out-of-town guests. As I always try and support local businesses, this would have been an easy $3000+ event that just required responsiveness. Received 1 email and no follow-up/calls and was extremely disappointed in their lack of care and unprofessionalism. Don't waste your time trying to give them business.Fast forward to my actual baby shower, I had over 60+ people at Shem Creek and spent over $3000 for a 3hr baby shower event overlooking the water.
We had our mini desserts for our wedding by Gala and they were a huge hit! Never before have I seen an entire dessert table wiped out with everyone raving about how good it was!We stopped in with our grandparents for coffee and sandwiches and the service and food were fantastic then too.I can’t say enough good things about this place!
The pastries are great, and the space is really cute. The people working there during the week are great, but sometimes on the weekend the people working there can’t keep up and everything takes forever. I watched 3 groups leave before anyone took their order. The people that were working were so slow and easily distracted. They need to staff up for these rushes.
