We sat outside on the big wooden tables and the children were able to play on the trampolines and the little cars area. The food was very good, we had Schnitzel, a three stake selection with roasted potatoes and the traditional pasta(Spätzle) with cooked beef. Everything was accompanied with a side salad which was also very good. Good size portions, even the children's' one. Didn't check at all the inside part of the restaurant but would definitely recommend the outside area on a nice day.
This is a beautiful but relatively smaller Biergarten/restaurant not far from the zoo. The setting is truly relaxing, with tall trees and plenty of space. It seats probably between 250 and 350, but was never crowded when I was there. They serve a marvelous cold Spaten, in chilled mugs, so it stays cool while you relax. The staff is wonderful, friendly and yet professional. Their menu is essentially Bavarian, with delicious offerings at reasonable prices. A word about the Biergarten part of the name. In Munich, in general one must buy any drinks (even bottled water) from the Biergarten itself, you cannot bring your own drinks and consume them in the Biergarten. However, as a general rule if it 's a Munich Biergarten, you may bring your own food and consume it with the drinks purchased from the Biergarten. Also, generally, if a locale denominates itself a Wirtshaus they may require patrons to purchase food from the management rather than bringing ones own. The mix of names confused me, and I mentally applied the Biergarten rule to the part of the establishment outside the restaurant in the open air under the trees, but was informed (in the middle of eating my brought-with sandwich) that the Wirtshaus rules applied, and I shouldn 't bring my own food. However, the staff was very polite about issuing the correction, and allowed me to finish the sandwich. I mention the above to inform a visitor that Wirtshaus rules are applied, and to compliment the staff on their politeness and understanding in correcting my mistaken impression. All in all, this is a very pleasant and welcoming place to relax. If you looked up the word Gemuetlich you might well find a picture of the Siebenbrunn there.
We just stopped by for a short lunch brake and have been positively surprised. Even though we only ordered simple things fried potatoes with eggs and fresh salad with turkey they served quite sizeable portions which were of high quality, very tasty and affordable. Perfect combination
We were there today with two children and it was great all around: nice and very child-friendly service, delicious food and a great equipment for outdoor play equipment! At any time happy to recommend again and for families
Excellent food and, fortunately, a place that is not overrun by tourism in Munich. 5 stars also for hosting. Warm, friendly and just nice!
