I went to meet her in their outdoor area between my classes, and I only had 10 minutes before my next class. They asked me to leave their patio because I had a tea, even though my girlfriend already had a table and I wasn't planning on staying for longer than 10 minutes. They didn't provide any explanation, and the employees were rude and had poor communication. I didn't argue with the employee or cause a scene, but I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
During a family weekend at Ball State, my family and I decided to stop at The Cup for a quick coffee. Unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. The service was poor and the selection was extremely limited. It was surprising to find that they didn't even have cream available at a coffee shop, and they also didn't carry decaf, which is the only option for my wife. I ended up settling for one of the few options available, while my children had coffee as well. My wife had to go elsewhere to find decaf. Despite spending about $20 on three coffees, when she returned with her drink from another cafe, the manager informed us that she couldn't join us on the outdoor patio because it was purchased elsewhere. Overall, we were disappointed with the service, management, and the quality of the coffee, which tasted burnt. As a result, we won't be returning to The Cup in the future.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, but it is quite expensive. Additionally, there is a significant issue with flies inside the building. While I cannot pinpoint the reason for their presence, the overall dining experience would be greatly improved if they were eliminated, as their presence could lead to health code violations.
Awesome coffee shop, I wish this was here when I attended Ball State ????
I think their coffee is nice. Really, 2-3 dollars isn't crazy for a drip. I wish there wasn't the $5 card minimum, but I get it. Wish I could say something about their flavored drinks but I haven't tried them yet. Their drip is great.
