Disgusting place. Bad food, dirty toilets, and an incredibly rude host. Please avoid this at all costs.
When we stopped eating there when Mycenes returned, we were the only customers. The service was therefore most personalized! :
The dishes have put time to get this understood, there was only one server that was at the same time the only cook! and the limited choice. On the other hand, the simple food was fresh and tasty, and the back of the restaurant turned out to be a real small museum on the history of the places and different personalities including Agatha Christie and Jean Paul Sartes who had resided there. Moreover, the terasse, placed below the ruins of the spectacular ancient city of Mécène, offers us a sumptuous view of some of the legendary Peloponnesian mountains. The traditional and pleasant cuisine La Belle Hélène is recommended by the Michelin guide.
Terrible experience....the stuffed tomatoes were served cold and didn't look freshly cooked. I took one spoon, couldn't eat anymore, paid and we left the place immediately.
