Growing up in Asia with multiple trips to Japan, I can say that the ramen here is pretty authentic! Tasty and tender roast pork unlike other places the meat is tough. Also the Hong Kong style homemade dumplings are very good! I am very picky about Asian food and this is my honest opinion. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality meals.
Had tried this spot once before. Had ABC ramen and juice dumplings. Was not at all impressed with the ramen. The juice dumplings were incredible. Just got an Uber eats delivery of beef Noodle soup, thinking it was similar to pho. It was very close. Came with Bok choy instead of jalapeños/lime/ bean sprouts you typically find in pho . Three beef tips. The beef tips were incredibly tender, however very scarce in the soup. My only complaint is the noodles seemed like spaghetti. Broth was absolutely delicious.
Not to be rude or anything, but just go to Pho Claire. I don't care if it's another 15 minutes of a drive, it's well worth it. I got the Chop Chicken Ramen with a milk bubble tea and my boyfriend got the ABC ramen. Both of the ramen bowls were the same except the ABC bowl had less chicken and 2 bites of rib in it (also very little flavor . The bubble tea was decent, but had very few boba in it. We also ordered soup dumplings and I was SO EXCITED to try these because I had never had them before and I see them online all the time and again, no flavor very bland. My boyfriend ordered these crunchy chicken strips (I can't exactly remember what they were called, sorry , but they were the best part of our meal. They came with a sweet and sour sauce and it was pretty good. There were 2 men working here, serving the people that came in greeting, taking orders, preparing the orders, and serving. They were nice, but not as attentive as they needed to be (but how could they be, there were only 2 of them? . Again, I highly recommend Pho Claire.
Very authentic feel and taste. The pork buns/wontons were delicious and my kids loved them too. The ramen was plentiful in portion size. I wish there was leaner pork in my ramen, I don't really want it due to the amount of fat but that's just my preference. I gave four stars because they serve your water from reusable containers and our second container had a mold ring around the lid and spout area, they were very apologetic about it.
I had only noticed the good reviews when picking this restaurant. I heard they had good dumplings, something my youngest daughter was interested in trying. She did enjoy the dumplings but the rest of the experience was not pleasant. The server was abrupt with us about taking a seat and brought us items we had not ordered but only asked about. He did not communicate the 4% charge for using a card when taking our payment. Also the carafes used to serve our water had mold growing on the bottom and on the lid. The honey lemonade we were brought unordered was neither honey nor lemon both in appearance and taste. A very frustrating Sunday lunch out. We will not return.
