I went for chicken fried steak with potatoes and green beans that were spectacular in traditional way, but with a fine rotation on the gravy that was actually a breakfast sausage gravy and surprisingly well worked to increase my meal to the next level of taste explosion. Highly recommended if you have never been??????
Eat the sweetest diner. The decor is fantastic as well as the service. Malisia is the best server. There are many history in the area and the food is amazing.
When traveling through Nacogdoches, TX, Dolli's Diner is definitely a place you want to visit. We found this jewel of a place today and are very impressed. This sweet restaurant is located right on the corner of the beautiful old town square. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. I can't say enough for dinner. We had roasted green tomatoes, a fantastic meat store sandwich on sourdough bread with onion rings, bacon cheeseburger and a classic cheeseburger (both with frits). We ate until we could not eat anymore and then grab the rest to go. Betty Boop seems to be her mascot, as it is shown under the paintings of a local artist who showed them in the restaurant. Some of the paintings are even for sale. This homemade restaurant has been through Kovid for 6 years, and rightly. The up to earthly friendly staff and atmosphere combined with great food is a must to see. You will not regret the experience. You can also walk comfortably from some of your meals and stretch your legs by walking around the beautifully maintained historic city square.
We stopped here for breakfast before leaving town and this was just an amazing way to start the day. Service was excellent. The coffee was nice and strong I was tweaking after just one cup. They have some really cool Mex inspired items on the menu to keep breakfast interesting. I had the Huevos Rancheros and the tortillas were nice and crispy, but the flavor could have been stronger.
The food was at a good price and they were open on New Year?s Eve and New Year?s Day. My husband got the Chicken fried steak the batter and gravy he said were good. I got the tomato basil soup since I had a big breakfast that morning. The service was quick. They are a nice place to eat when you are visiting downtown and some of their shops.
