Humorous environment, busy waiters. the house coffee was 3/5 but their specialty drinks look great. the portions are huge and the ingredients taste fresh. the overall taste of the dish is above average, not amazing but not bad enough to not come again. It's a good feeling when you sit inside and take a bite into the little donuts. The lemon blueberry pancakes were light. The lemon tasted like watered down frosting with blueberries on top. The omelette tasted better with cholula, salt pepper . Jimmy potatoes were good with ketchup. but omelette had very fresh ingredients. I know it's not the best food, but it's a nice cozy experience. I was told the skillets are better than omelette. So I would come back to try that next time.
You had me at free warm mini donuts! The name Juicy-O makes me laugh whenever I hear it. But, our first time trying this place for breakfast was really pleasant and delicious. There 's a lot to look at inside, including the donut making machine and bright, open ceilings with colorful decor. The omelets are HUGE and definitely shareable, as you can get toast, English Muffin or pancakes with them plus hash browned potatoes. The coffe was brought to us in a carafe for refills at our table and they offered French Vanilla or Hazelnut creamers if the half-and-half isn 't what you want. I liked having options and the menu includes trusty breakfast favorites but also specialty pancakes or unique items.
Juicy-O is a huge spot serving down-home American breakfast and diner foods with a few labeled vegan options. That's a rarity in the suburbs of Chicago, so kudos to them for being so progressive. We got the vegan oatmeal pancakes $11) to start. I liked the flavor on these, but the texture was rubbery and gummy. The portion size is gigantic and I doubt anyone could finish the whole thing. The vegan salsa scrambler $12) really impressed us. I loved how they made the tofu really savory and addictive, with a nice dose of black beans and beautifully prepared roasted potatoes with green onion. This whole dish came together well, though the green salsa they provide tasted metallic. Fortunately, you don't need the salsa. The service is Midwestern-friendly and welcoming and they also serve you free mini donuts sadly, they're not vegan). Come to Juicy-O for the vegan salsa scrambler and a cup of coffee.
Was visiting friends in the Naperville area and we decided to try this place out for breakfast. It was the best decision we could make! They give you fresh homemade doughnuts to start and they were heavenly. So fresh with the perfect amount of sugar. I had the fruit crepe with strawberries, blueberries and peaches and it was amazing! I wasn't expecting so much but it's was a great amount. I couldn't finish it all. Lastly you have to order one of the juice blends instead of just orange juice. It was the perfect touch to a perfect breakfast. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in the area.
My parents and I have been to this Juicy-O location quite a few times. The restaurant itself has a nice open space design and service is great; however, the cleanliness and food quality are not the most impressive. The last time we went we were seated right away and had our orders taken quickly; however, our food took quite a long time to come out. I ordered a LA omelette with Jimmys Potatoes and toast. The omelette and toast were average but the potatoes were not that good at all. The butter smell and taste was so overwhelming and was all I could smell when the food was brought out and I started digging in. Honestly my favorite part of the whole meal was the doughnuts they gave us for free. All in all, a fairly ok breakfast joint. We will probably go again if they have another Groupon available but I would definitely recommend making the longer drive to Blueberry Hill for a more satisfying breakfast.
