Rudy's Jazz Room - Nashville

On a very busy Sunday night, a party of four arrived at the restaurant. We were greeted by an elderly host who took an unusually long time to explain the available seating options, almost like a magician revealing secrets from behind a curtain. He promised to refund our entrance fee if we were dissatisfied with our seats, but in the end, we were only shown to seats that did not match his description. After waiting for five minutes, we decided to leave and were not refunded the $43 cover charge for four people (while the person behind us only paid $5). My advice: make a reservation if possible, or if you are a walk-in guest, have someone check out the seating options before committing. It's best not to argue with a disgruntled elderly person, just leave quietly. As a Nashville native since 1981 who values supporting local businesses, I can say that we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was fantastic. The check-in process and seating were quick and friendly. The atmosphere was dark and cozy when we walked in. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed a delicious shrimp appetizer. The live jazz show began punctually and was fantastic. I will definitely be returning to this hidden gem more often. The staff are organized and professional.

Unfortunately, the Mojitos we received consisted of lemon juice, club soda, rum, and a random coin as garnish - a far cry from the classic cocktail we were expecting. It's disheartening to see bartenders who struggle to make basic drinks like a Daiquiri or a Mojito. Perhaps a refresher course in Mixology would benefit the staff at this establishment. In the meantime, we had to come home and make our own Mojitos to satisfy our cravings. It's a shame that the bartending skills at this place are lacking, but we hope they can improve in the future. Better luck next time!

The atmosphere was great! I was treated rudely by a cartridge, but the overall experience was one I will repeat.

Awesome place!! Sunday night has an open jam session and got to see plenty of artist doing there thing. The drinks were great and the people were nice.
