I think my Grandma was cooking! The food is always good and so comforting.

We really enjoyed the breakfast. We shared the Western omelet, a half order of biscuits and gravy, a side pancake, home fries and grits. The omelet had a good flavor with lots of meat and cheese. The meats were a little dry. The gravy had a nice sausage flavor. I prefer a large fluffy biscuit. These were rather small, but had a good flavor. The grits were perfect. All and all, it was a very good breakfast

Very good (and filling) breakfast this morning. Home fries are the best!

I'm not sure how to review this place. My food was kind of warm. My husband's food was cold, except his potatoes. The food was good, especially the meatloaf (very cold), parley new potatoes and the turnips (served hot). The cornbread muffins were noticeably old. I would try the place again and hope for hotter food. The waitress seemed to be tired of working with the general public, she had zero facial expressions our entire visit, but did her job and that's all you can ask for nowadays.. All in … – show

This was my first time visiting Wendell Smith's. I follow them on Facebook and have been wanting to visit…well I finally got my wish and it was really good. I got a to go order and I can really say I enjoyed my meal…and the fudge pie!
