I heard about this restaurant on AM radio and decided to support a local business by purchasing almost $100 worth of food. The hot beef sticks were incredibly spicy, which I usually enjoy, but in my opinion, the heat overpowered the other flavors to the point where it numbed my taste buds. The smokiness of the jerky was good, but the texture was disappointing - chewy and stringy. I found myself struggling to chew and had to spit out parts with every bite. I shared some with friends, but none of them enjoyed it either due to the poor texture. It seems like they may need to use leaner, higher quality cuts of meat.
Terrible grill. a dive, a hole in the wall. they do not offer. we spent almost $50.00, but eating and joking was not worth $5.00 they even made an ugly, biased note about my Asian companions. I was totally insulted by this dive and it's personal.
The bark sticks are sooo good! some ordered as gifts, but they eat themselves, then ordered more.
I do not like to be negative, but the dry sausage at this restaurant tastes like cardboard. It's overly salty, in my opinion. It even failed to satisfy my craving for cured jerky.
