When we sat down, our table was soaked with water and dirty glasses. The staff appeared unkempt, with long-haired men and women whose hair was not tied back. I was also uncomfortable with the appearance of one server whose tight jean shorts were too revealing. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash, which I found to be lacking in flavor. The Hollandaise Sauce was not homemade, despite the restaurant's claim that they make their own corned beef. The One Big Waffle I ordered was served plain, without butter, fruit, icing sugar, or whipped cream. I spent over $90 on this disappointing meal. If it weren't for the occasion being Mother's Day, I would have considered leaving. The service was poor, even though we had three different servers attending to us.
This is a neighbourhood cafe, with a friendly vibe and community atmosphere. Not many other restaurants understand Gluten-Free like these folks. I haven't had real gluten free french fries in years! The staff and servers are friendly and helpful, and show a lot of care towards their customers. Best low-key lunch in town.
The service at this restaurant was terrible. However, the eggs benedict was delicious. They should consider replacing the young blonde girl with someone who has a better work ethic and people skills.
Classic full North American breakfast fare. Excellent fresh food. Great coffee. Impressed by the two young servers who were attentive, fast, and very friendly despite being vastly outnumbered during the morning rush.
We came here for chili Thursday’s and had a lovely time. The server was beyond great and we loved the food. There was a knitting club in the cafe and construction workers and teens drinking milkshakes and it felt like we were in a movie. We’ll definitely come back.
