The baker patiently explained what the different pastries were as we filled our box. Our favorite were the small cinnamon dusted egg custard tarts. So many things looks so good that we'll have to go back again next time we're in town to try them. The storefront is very plain and easy to miss (we drove right by it the first time) so be on the lookout for it.
Good ol' Portuguese folk making your classic ol' Portuguese bread and other bakery good!
An amazing place to pick up some goodies. Very enjoyable sweets and such
Hands down the best Papo Secos in the Greater New Bedford area. If you want hot, crusty, fresh out-of-the-oven bread, then Economy Bakery is hands down the best place to go. It’s a hidden gem off of the Avenue, and I guarantee you will be addicted after the first bite. Currently drooling over a fresh pop with butter and St. Jorge cheese I just ordered for lunch…yum! This is the quality, authentic Portuguese bread I look for when I go to a Portuguese bakery. Thank you Economy for consistently being the BEST!
The absolute best Flan. Three sizes from $7-$14. A value that is hard to beat. The bread and rolls come straight out of the oven many times a day, so always the freshest you can get. Offer bread sells out before they close though!!
