The dominant flavor in both that dish and the Yakamein was salt, and honestly, $25 for a portion size no larger than what you’d get at Jazzfest seemed unreasonable. On a positive note, the mixed drinks were excellent and the wings were tasty, but the rest of the menu felt very limited and overpriced.
The food was mediocre, and they completely messed up dessert—it looked strange and unappetizing. The chef treated our waiter poorly, and we could hear him yelling and swearing at him throughout our visit. The next morning, I went down for coffee at 6:30, only to be greeted by the same unfriendly hostess, who informed me that the chef wouldn't arrive until 8:30, so there would be no breakfast until then. While the hotel itself was lovely, the restaurant experience was a complete disaster. The behavior of everyone, aside from our hardworking waiter, was totally unacceptable.
The restaurants were overwhelmed by the 30,000 convention attendees, making them crowded and noisy, with long wait times at many locations. Fortunately, OpenTable helped us discover a quiet spot with immediate seating. We were treated to excellent service and enjoyed some eclectic fusion cuisine.
Very limited menu, but interesting. The drinks were excellent!
Great place connected to the new Hilton Canopy in New Orleans. Service was great and food was outstanding. Give Ginger Roux a try!
