Funday's, The Root Beer Stand

So happy to see Funday's open again. Still yummy and delicious. Who doesn't like a drive in. And this one is a good one! Try a local favorite: Grilled Trail Bologna with Swiss cheese! The Root Beer milkshake is the best melted root beer float ever!

Food is always great here and some of the best home made Root beer too. The waitresses are social with customers too. Unless it's just because of our husky Ghost they kept coming to check on us and make sure we were good. Either way I suggest a stop in for a Root beer float if you're in the area.

Wanted to try this place with my kids, as they are finally back open and under new ownership. The service was great. Waitress was prompt and friendly. Root beer floats were good, but overpriced. The food was mediocre at best. Coney sauce was weak and needs dialed in. Pizza burger was over cooked and flat out terrible. No marinara on it, or any effort put into it. I mean it's not rocket science grilling a frozen pizza burger patty and creating a presentable sandwich. Mushrooms were cooked in old oil. If you've worked in a kitchen, you know the difference between good and old deep fryer oil. Ultimately I got 2 hot dogs, mushrooms, fries, and pizza burger, with 3 root beer floats for $45 after tip. If you want the most mediocre of food at a marked up price, give it a shot. Hoping the new owners read this and get their cooking abilities together. Especially for the price point they're charging. This incarnation of Funday's will be as short lived as past ownership if the kitchen doesn't step up.

Pulled in girl looks at us standing there never brought a menu or waited on us. Car pulls in beside us she goes straight to them and waits on them ? so we pulled out and left to go somewhere else... Was excited to try it under New owner,but we won't be going back. People are so lazy these days every where you go !!
