Tasa Italiano - New Port Richey

I'm editing my review as they now have pizza. If your looking for a good pizza its NOT here! This was the worst pizza ever, scarcly any sauce and the fake cheese was awfully hard, the crust and dough were tasteless . I got a large cheese half sausage pie for $21.60 . Never again this place has awful food, I don't know how they stay in business! I only came back to check out their pizza. This next review is from a few years ago. Mediocre food, small portions, no straws, dirty menus. Long wait time for server to greet us and take drink order. Wanted pizza but was told they were shorthanded. Rigatoni noodles were very undercooked, chicken piccata hardly had chicken. Chicken in the parmesan was very hard. Asked about a side of sauce and was told it was 9.00 because it's made fresh. Our server wasn't the friendliest and certainly not the most unfriendliest. She did swap out my soup for a salad though. I understand they were shorthanded, so go from there!

Met our friends here for dinner. Never had been before and was blown away how wonderful it was. The food was delicious and my boyfriend’s steak came with a personalized message. The server had a great personality and was just superb. They brought out two cannolis with candles, for my boyfriend and friends birthdays, and we did not even ask for them. The owner came over to meet us and also the grill chef that made the steak and were so friendly. Such a wonderful experience all around. I now understand how they have famous people that dine here!

My wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday and it was amazing. The service from the staff the cocktails (dirty martini and cosmopolitan) were perfect. The garlic knots were delectable. I had the aged ribeye which was so good I will remember it for years. My wife had red snapper special and it was equally as impressive. The owner came and spoke to us and made us an appetizer of alla’ vodka with rigatoni and it was also perfect. Highly recommend. Everyone there is dedicated to producing an amazing experience.

I see now why this place has so many great reviews. The service was top notch. They will make you feel like you're the only person they're serving, regardless of how busy they might be. The food was delicious. The vibe is a cute cozy Italian kitchen/dinner, I loved it. Will be back!

Came to Tampa from Georgia to celebrate our dads 74th birthday with family. We wanted to try some restaurants before we comitted to ordering anything. Lucky for us Taso was our first and only stop. We started with the Caesar salad which was absolute perfection, the garlic knots were tasty and so so soft fresh and delicious. For our mains we got the Rigatoni A La Vodka which was wow the best I’ve ever had and the sage champagne chicken with mushrooms which was flagrantly flavorful and delicious. Our server Emily was sweet patient and gave us excellent service. For drinks I had an old fashioned and my sister a dirty martini which we loved. We decided to put our catering order in For a half tray of the champagne chicken, Rigatoni A La Vodka, sausages peppers , and though not on the catering menu shrimp scampi. We also ordered a full try of the garlic knots . To say the food was a hit is an absolute understatement our family is full of opinionated food lovers and they couldn’t get enough of how good everything was. The service we received was beyond amazing we’re so sad we forgot to get the name of the chef that cooked our catering and helped us load the car but were very grateful to him and his service that morning. When ever we visit Tampa Taso Italiano will have to be a dinner spot in the list. Great food , wonderful staff.
