Fifty Mils - Four Seasons Mexico

I first visited in September 2019. Drinks over all were ok. I was looking forward to a drink called Inside Manhattan which they usually serve in a ball of ice. They didn 't have the ice balls. Disappointing. Other drinks were good. Bugs Bunny made with carrot juice and gin was very tasty. Atmosphere outside was great except for the slightly rowdy table that kept breaking glassware. Waiter was very professional and friendly and clearly one of the only people working. During the 1 1/2 hours we were there, the host probably spent about 40 minutes talking to a table of his friends. For being at the Four Seasons, it was not the polished experience one would expect. Update Nov 2019: I have now been here with visiting guests several times. They never seem to have the ice ball for the Inside Manhattan it 's frozen water. Perhaps removing it from the menu would be the best idea if you cannot figure out a solution. This past weekend, they were out of carrot juice for the Bugs Bunny. Carrots are pretty common here in CDMX. The woman down the street from me in the jugo stand makes it. Why can 't the Four Season? They 're were also out of the necessary ingredients for three other drinks. I would highly suggest a menu up date or a change of bar staff. Overall, the service level of the waitstaff and host has improved since my first visit.

I used to love this bar. They had excellent and elaborately made drinks and the food was good The last two times have not been good at all. Service is incredibly slow. There were only three people at the bar and it took ten minutes to get my first drink. The octopus fritters were overcooked nearly burned and very dry. Two visits in a row. I used to love these. And the signature drinks were still on the menu but were poorly made. The Billy the Kid is no longer served with burning embers... it was served in a plastic glass. I had this same bad experience during the summer but thought it was an off night. Nope this place has just cascaded downhill. This explains why it has fallen off the Worlds 50 Best Bar list. I’m sad. But, unless you are staying in the hotel, it’s not worth making the trip here based on reading past years’ hype.

Awesome bar with great drinks. It’s a shame they lost their spot in the best 50 bars of the world.

It's a good place to wait, they have pretty good meals and beer.

The menu is very extensive but difficult to understand due to the complexity of the drinks. We didn't have guidance to recommend something based on our tastes. I had higher expectations for the service, but there was zero interaction from the waiter. We even had to ask for the drinks and wait for them to be served before they completed our food order.
