Forlini's. - New York

I was visiting New York and Yelp recommended me trying Italian food from Forlini. I was able to get a table upon walk-in and I was promptly serviced. I ended up trying their gourmet set menu for $52/person and it was well worth it experience. For that price, you get a 4 course meal with a shot at the end. The courses are all variety plates so you get to try a lot of things on their menu. It started with appetizers, then pasta, followed by a meats plate, ending with choice of desserts. Not sure if it was written in the menu, but we also got a basket of fried zucchinis. Overall, I thought this place was well worth the price, and the food that you get is priced fairly for the quality and portion sizes.

Overall a 4.5 Classic Italian restaurant Joe is very nice and accommodating. We had a large group. Food is good not earth changing hence the .5 star reduction. Go with a group and tell them Tony sent ya!!

It's been 8 months since I've been to Forlini's, and that's a sin. But the portions are so large that it only makes sense that I space my visits, right? RIGHT? Seriously, stop in for pasta I love their linguini and anything seafood. Friendly staff, full bar, old school Italian joint that's perfect for a family gathering, or even a date. Forlini's is a gem.

If you're looking for some old school Italian vibes with great food and strong drinks this is your place! I came here with my parents and fiancé on a Sunday night for dinner and we had such a great meal and overall experience. It's a casual place but you can easily dress up and fit right in. We started off with their bread and butter and ordered the Frutta di Mare this was a huge hit. For entrees we had Chicken Parm, Penne Vodka, Meatballs, Veal Francese and Forlini's Torteli. We loved everything so much so that ordered extra meatballs haha. Portions were a nice size but not gigantic which was perfect. For dessert we ordered the Tartufo and then our server gave us a Lemon Sorbet and Spumoni on the house. Everyone loved the desserts of course. I'd highly recommend coming here for any occasion. There is also a back room you can rent out for private parties!

Great Restaurant! My boss recommended this restaurant. I made a reservation but you don't need one. It was Friday at 8:00 pm and it was full but it was a couple of tables available. We waited like 5 minutes for them to acknowledged we were there waiting for a table. A really nice guy came and guide us to our table. The Restaurant is not big but has his charm. The hostess brought the menu, Huge menu!!! We waited like 10 minutes for a server. When the server came I was ready to order everything ! but he left after I ordered the drinks lol... The drinks came pretty fast and then we ordered. Great food! and the quantity is very good! Food ! Scarparelli for one) not ! this is not true! you can share this plate! is huge !!! The sausage is spicy , the filet mignon was very soft and the chicken was very juicy. 5 of 5!!!! Shrimp Scampi alla forlini the sauce is to die for!! excellent !!! we even used this sauce for the spaghettis ! 10 of 10 !! the shrimp were excellent !!! Drinks! Sangria Forlinis 5 of 5 ! excellent !!! Overall, this restaurant is very good , they need to get better on the service ! that is why I gave them 4 stars ! Extremely recommended !
