The hosts were fantastic—charming and unpretentious, and they dressed stylishly while making us feel at home. The red snapper was exquisite, both in taste and presentation. The Saigon chicken also had great flavor, though I had envisioned a steamed version based on the spices described. I would suggest enhancing its presentation a little, as it paled in comparison to the stunning red snapper; however, I chose not to send it back because the balance of flavors was excellent. Ultimately, the taste is what truly matters. The pea shoots had a vibrant color and were delicious. The cocktails were excellent as well. Our server provided outstanding service, even as the restaurant grew busier. I felt genuinely cared for—she was amazing. Thank you for making our Saturday night memorable!
I've never encountered such beautiful staff as those who welcomed us, seated us, and took care of our meal. Every dish was delicious, and the ambiance was stunning. Overall, we had a wonderful evening at this new restaurant for us.
I had an amazing brunch that beautifully combines French and Vietnamese cuisines—it's truly one of the most unique and stylish brunches you'll find in NYC. You get to enjoy the atmosphere alongside models and NYC socialites, all while listening to fantastic beats by Amber Valentine, one of the best in the city. Don't miss out! The mushroom risotto was absolutely unreal.
This week, I decided to explore some of New York's classic restaurants. To be honest, I can't recall if I've eaten here in the 40 years it's been around—maybe I visited in the '80s, but those details are a bit hazy. The place is still lively and buzzing with energy. The staff is beautiful and stylishly dressed. Our waitress was especially charming! The cocktails were fantastic, and most of the food was quite good. I particularly recommend the Dorade (which I loved), the eggplant, the fluke, and the spicy beef salad. The spring rolls were decent. However, I would have preferred the spicy shrimp to be spicier and less sweet. I was pleasantly surprised by the kale salad, which I usually don't like, but this one was tasty. The summer rolls were okay, while the ribs were a tad dry. The lemon tart had a lovely, crisp crust, but the curd was a bit loose and overly sweet. Our friend, who brought us to the restaurant, mentioned that it’s usually much better—it’s his favorite dessert, and he was reluctant to share it. We enjoyed the coffee cake, and the chocolate dessert was good as well. Just a heads up about the noise level: it’s quite loud, and you’ll struggle to hear the people next to you unless you’re practically shouting.
